DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA AND THINGS TO DO:

Willow Springs is a basic camping and picnic area in the heart of beautiful karri country, and is the site of a former timber mill. This mill operated from 1937 to 1948, and some of the ruins can still be seen around the picnic area. An experimental plot of Eucalyptus is beside the picnic area, and a sign-posted Eucalyptus Walk Trail runs through the area.
The camping area is large and open, with scattered shady trees, basic facilities, and plenty of room for all campers. Included among the trees are very large Radiata Pines, complete with plenty of heavy pointed pine cones, so it might be best not to camp beneath these trees, as you could be hit by falling pine cones.

Julie: it's an open clearing in the forest. The Bibblemun Track passes here.

FACILITIES:

Fireplaces, tables with seats, shade and bins at both the picnic and camping area.

ACCESS:

From Nannup, travel east along Brockman Highway (Tourist Way 251) towards Bridgetown for 14 km to Austin Road. Turn left, and the camping area turn-off is 200 metres further on, and to the left. The picnic area is 500 metres further along Gold Gully Road, and on the right.
If approaching trom Bridgetown, head west along the Brockman Highway (Tourist Way 251) towards Nannup for 26 km, to the Gold Gully Road turn-off 800 metres past Sears Road). Turn left (south), and follow this good unsealed road for nearly 5 km to the intersection of Stallard Road. Continue straight ahead along Gold Gully Road for 500 metres to the picnic area on the left. The camping area is 100 metres further along, and on the right.
